There are lot of hopes from all sectors of industries from this field.. It is expected to bring revolution in the way we eat, the way we live, the medicines we use, the materials we use, the energy we consume etc.

The question is will India pick up biotechnology as immensely as what other developed countries have gone for. The efforts from Government and that from existing industries are not strong enough to develop confidence in minds of people in general and students in particular about scope for this subject.
